Training Courses
Progress Dog Training holds courses in Sidcup, Kent.
For
dogs over 6 months old.
Each Course is 6 weeks long and is
carefully structured to help owners understand how to implement
successful training methods.
Each week, owners will practice and develop their training skills and be given practical
advice on how to incorporate training into everyday life.
Our training methods are kind and
constructive, using positive reinforcement to help you succeed. We
aim to teach you how to communicate with your dog, giving you
knowledge and confidence for training.
The Courses Cover:
- Timing & Rewards
- Positions, sit, down & stand
- Walking on the lead
- Recalls
- Manners about the home and when out
- Stay
- Jumping up
- Leave
Upon successful completion of this course, there is the
option to progress onto a 'follow-on' course to make your dogs
basic training more reliable and introduce new areas of
training.
The cost of a course is
£50.00* (payable upon booking)
PLEASE NOTE: Basic training classes are not suitable
for dogs with behaviour problems i.e. Aggression / constant barking etc.
If your dog is experiencing problems of this nature,
it is essential that you discuss them with a trainer before booking a
place on a course in order that the most suitable training can be
offered to you and your dog.
Failure to do so may result in your disappointment at being unable to
continue on the course.

Upon successful completion of the Basic Course, you
can progress through Level 1, 2 and 3. These courses enable you to
develop your training, improving what you have both learned and
introducing new areas which are both useful and enjoyable for you and
your dog! These 6 week courses are held on Wednesday evenings.
