A message from Angela
I love sharing my knowledge and it’s most rewarding to help you achieve really positive changes to your dogs behaviour…. and your life!
All of the training courses and private training plans I offer have been designed as a result of almost 30 years experience working with dogs. I have worked as a groomer, dog walker, daycare provider, home boarder and career development trainer, all contributing to my knowledge of dog training and behaviour, in which I have been specialising for the last 20+ years.
With all this in mind, 2025 is going to be an exciting year with the launch of the ‘Complete Dog Trainer Business Course’ for all those looking to start work or develop their experience as a Dog Trainer. This online coaching programme will provide everything you need, with mentoring and support – head over to facebook: angela.fitch.2024 or use this link to join the dedicated group www.facebook.com/groups/dogtrainingbusiness
My regular hands on work is continuing as much as ever and you can be confident that with my experience, Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications in educating adults you’ll have a professional and supportive experience, whichever training plan you begin with me.
Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Experience
I began working with dogs in 1995 as a Dog Groomer and quickly moving into the field of Training and Behaviour. I started Progress Dog Training with a vision of helping pet owners raise puppies into adult dogs who are a pleasure to have at home or out and about. My training focuses on pet dogs, so there is no pressure or competition – I’ll help you achieve as much as you want to. I hold a Level 3 award in Education and Training and a Level 5 Teaching certificate so you can be confident in my ability to train people , not just dogs!
Over the years I have been lucky enough to take part in organising enjoyable events such as fun dog shows, daycare, gundog sessions, charity displays and various other dog related activities. Personally I have had articles published in the local press, the Bexley Times and the Chronicle and also have a book published called ‘The New Puppy Owners Manual’. I have provided assessments on dogs when required for legal reasons and have worked with a few of our local veterinarian practices.
I have almost 30 years experience working with owners under many different circumstances. Whether you are part of a family, single, a home worker or dealing with changing situations I understand that every client is different and what works for one does not necessarily work for another! While qualifications are important, I find it’s my experience in the real world that benefits my clients the most. My method of training is reward based using a variety of modern techniques as appropriate – my emphasis is on combining a Behavioural approach with the discipline of obedience training where required.
We can teach our dogs many things and I believe the key to success is to ensure they actually want to do what they’ve learned when you ask for it! Better still, training is most successful when our dogs choose to behave well in the first place – I’ll help you understand how to help them make good decisions.
