A message from Angela

I truly love training and I really care about helping you achieve what you want…

All of the dog training courses and private training plans I offer have been carefully designed as a result of 20 years experience working with dogs. I have experience as a groomer, dog walker, daycare provider, home boarder, career development trainer and the majority comes from working in dog training and behaviour.

While my work experience is vital to help those attending my training, I also have Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications in training adults, so you can be confident you’ll have a professional and supportive experience.

Recently I have been awarded ‘Best Puppy Training Specialist’ in London for 2019 and in South East London for 2018. I’m thrilled to have received these votes for the last 2 years.

I look forward to working with you – Angela

I began working with dogs in 1995, starting out in Dog Grooming and quickly moving into the field of Training and Behaviour. I started Progress Dog Training with a vision of helping pet owners raise puppies and own adult dogs who are a pleasure to have at home and within our society. My training focuses on these pet dogs, so there is no pressure or competition at any of my courses. I hold a Level 3 award in Education and Training and a Level 5 Teaching certificate so you can be confident in my ability to train people , not just dogs!

I have been lucky enough to take part in organising enjoyable events such as fun dog shows, daycare, gundog sessions, charity displays and various other dog related activities. Personally I have had articles published in the local press, the Bexley Times and the Chronicle and also have a book published called ‘The New Puppy Owners Manual’. I have provided assessments on dogs when required for legal reasons and have worked with a few of our local veterinarian practices.

I have over 20 years experience working with owners under many different circumstances. Whether you are part of a family, single, a home worker or dealing with changing situations, I understand that every client is different and what works for one does not necessarily work for another! While qualifications are important, I find it’s my experience in the real world that benefits my clients the most.

I use reward based training with a variety of modern techniques as appropriate, the emphasis on combining a Behavioural approach with the discipline of obedience training. Although we can teach our dogs almost anything, I believe the trick is to ensure they want to do what they’ve learned when you ask for it!
